MAL PUA

It is  a dessert which is mainly taken after meal but my this recipe is a simple and easy to make homemade recipe.You can enjoy it any time.You do not need to go anywhere, just  go to the kitchen and pick up the required ingredients and make your recipe, for this recipe I think you need not  go to the market to get some extra ingredients as all the essential ingredients are available in your kitchen. You can enjoy this recipe more  during the rainy season.I still remember when we were kids,my mom used to make this recipe during rainy season.All the members of my family would enjoy this recipe a lot.

This is called MAL PUA recipe.Usually it is made on Indian wedding rituals .Before wedding on matna or mayaan ceremony people of India still make this recipe as a part of rituals.Long ago,this Mal pua recipe was  made only by using wheat flour and sugar but time has changed and you can get the improved version of this recipe in modern era.Some extra ingredients are added to enhance the taste of Mal pua .Now it is time to tell how this recipe is made.

Ingredients for making MAL PUA.

  • Refined flour or maida =1 cup.
  • Semolina or suji=1/4 cup.
  • Mawa or koyha=1/2 cup.
  • Milk=2 cups.
  • Sugar =250 gm or 1 cup.
  • Small cardamom powder=1/2 tsp.
  • Water for making sugar syrup=1 cup.
  • Cashew nuts =10 to 12.
  • Melon or water melon seeds =2 tbs.
  • Grated coconut=1 tbs.
  • Method  for making MAL PUA.

Step 1
Take a bowl. Sieve refined flour and semolina or suji. Add mawa or koyha.Add milk.Mix it with the help of hand blender or mixer. Your  batter is ready for rest. Leave it for 15 minutes. In the meantime, you  need to complete the second step.
Step 2
Take a pan. Put it on the gas. Add sugar.Add water and small cardamom powder.Stir continuously for 10 to 15 minutes on low flame. The consistency of sugar syrup should be one string.You can check it with the help of your fingers.
Step 3
Now it ‘s time to fry the Mal pua.Take a frying pan.Add enough oil for frying the mal pua.Take your batter which you have left for rest. Again stir gently before frying. If your batter is thick ,you may add more milk spoon by spoon until it has a pouring consistency.
Step 4
Before frying the mal pua,put one drop of batter in a frying pan.If it gets puffed then  With the help of table spoon put one table spoon of batter in frying pan.Fry both sides of the mal pua very carefully.
Step 5
After frying all the mal pua, now you need to dip the mal pua in a sugar syrup pan.For this ,take your sugar syrup pan which you have made earlier. Again put it on low medium flame.Dip all the Mal pua  one by one that you have fried. Both sides of the mal pua should be dipped.
Step 6
Take out  all the sugar syrup dipped mal pua in a plate covered with tissue paper .
Step 7
It,s time to garnish the mal pua.Put all the mal pua on a dessert plate. Sprinkle a pinch of cardamom powder along with all dry fruits.Your mal pua is ready to eat.Enjoy your mal pua in any season of your choice.
Note  - dry fruits are optional part of the recipe but it enhances the taste of mal pua.After garnishing the recipe with dryfruits, mal pua looks so good.This is also taken without dryfruits.You may add dry fruits of your choice.
