PUDINEY(mint) KI CHUTNEY

Mint is also known as Pudina in hindi and Pootna in punjabi languages.Actually mint is a herb.This is very beneficial for our health.It contains many antioxidants which keep us healthy.If you are having constipation or indigestion then mint leaves work as remedy for these troubles.It improves your digestive system and increases appetite.It can be used in many forms. Mint leaves are very beneficial for the people who are suffering from nausea.This is also known as mouth and breath freshener.My mom use mint leaves in many ways.She would use fresh mint leaves in black tea and lemon tea.When the season of mint leaves was off she used to make tea and other mint containing food items by using dry mint leaves.A person having abdominal pain can remove his pain by using the juice of mint leaves with black salt.The aroma of mint leaves attracts everyone toward itself.




Mint can be used in many ways,but I like Pudina(mint)ki chutney.

Ingredients for making pudina(mint) chutney.


  • Two small  bowls of mint leaves.
  •  One small  bowl  of chopped raw mangoes. 
  • Onion chopped (2 small bowls).
  •  One tomato chopped.
  •  3 to 4 chopped  green chilies.
  •  Salt  1 1/2tsp or according to your taste.
  • Sugar 1tsp.
  •  Garman masala 1/4tsp.
  • Lemon juice 1tsp. 
  • Water 1/2 cup.


Method

Take fresh well washed mint leaves.Put these into mixture.Add chopped raw mangoes as mentioned in ingredients.Add chopped onion along with tomato and green chilies.Pour water to make the fine paste.Blend all the ingredients very well.Add salt,sugar and garam masala(hot spices) and lemon juice.

Now your mint or pudiney ki chutney is ready to eat.Serve it with simple chapati or any snacks of your choice.It is very beneficial for health especially in summer.

Salt, sugar or any ingredients may be increased or decreased as per your choice.
